Rangers could soon secure a record fee for Minsu Kim.

The South Korea international has made a positive impression since coming in from Girona.

His move came out of nowhere to many, but he has been a bright spark in Derek McInnes' side.

The 20-year-old has impressed in a Rangers side that has looked revitalised under McInnes.

He has become a regular for the Light Blues and looks like being worth every penny spent on him.

Should Kim continue, he could soon be bringing in upwards of £20milliom for Rangers, according to a South Korean football expert.

Why Minsu Kim could soon sell for £20m

There were high hopes for all of the new signings at Ibrox after so much summer business.

The forward coming in from Girona was arguably the biggest unknown quantity after spending last season on loan in the second tier of Spanish football.

Rangers took a chance on him and could soon see that faith repaid with a sizable sale.

That is the opinion of Korean football expert Joel Kim, owner of the KNTFootball account across X, Instagram and YouTube.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Kim said: "Although I’ve expected some goals and assists by now, Minsu Kim has been playing well in the premiership as I’ve been expecting.

"His pace and physicality has been a problem for defenders and as the season unfolds we should only expect him to look more and more comfortable with goals and assists to eventually follow.

"In regards to worth, I would venture to offer at least double for what Rangers have paid. North of £20million if he continues to show the quality he has and scores those goals and assists like we know he can."

That is certainly a glowing review and could seal a major boost to finances at Ibrox.

Where could Minsu Kim sit in Rangers' record sales?

McInnes will certainly be keen to see the best out of the summer signing moving forward.

If the above situation plays out, that could land the Govan outfit a sizable profit on the £8.5million they paid.

That would also mark a new record sale, potentially replacing Calvin Bassey at the top.

The Nigeria international departed for Ajax in 2022 for a fee worth upwards of £19m.

Nathan Patterson remains second after joining Everton for £16m.

Kim would sit at the top of the tree is he sold for £20m, but there is a long way to go yet.
