Mikey Moore contact made away from Rangers as international call-up on horizon
Rangers forward Mikey Moore could potentially soon get his first senior international call-up.
The Gers signed the 18-year-old from Tottenham on loan last summer, but he’s yet to make a massive impact in G51.
Russell Martin is under extreme pressure at Ibrox and has turned to the young forward in recent matches to make an impact.
Moore had a decent outing against Hibernian in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final, starting on the right-wing in the 2-0 victory, and he may now be subject to an international tug of war.
Wales want Rangers forward Mikey Moore to switch international allegiance
Moore has been contacted by the Football Association of Wales to snub England for the Dragons, as he qualifies for them through a grandparent, according to BBC Sport.
The news outlet reports on 23 September that Craig Bellamy has also spoken with the highly rated youngster about the prospect of switching international allegiances.
It’s been claimed that the winger is in no rush to make a decision on which country he wants to represent at the senior level, having already represented the England Under-19s.
If Moore does end up opting to play for Wales, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him get into Bellamy’s squad sooner rather than later, while the competition for places in the Three Lions’ squad is undoubtedly challenging.

Russell Martin needs Mikey Moore at best at Rangers
Moore’s debut at Ibrox was delayed due to registration issues, as he hadn’t turned 18 at the time the Gers signed him.
The youngster ended up making his debut for the Gers in the 4-2 win over Alloa Athletic in the Premier Sports Cup.
While the forward has been in and out of the Light Blues’ starting lineup this season, he’s been relied upon more in recent matches.

Martin doesn’t have room to make any errors at Rangers, with any game possibly his last in the dugout in G51.
The Gers fans have had enough of the Scottish manager at Ibrox, giving Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises a massive dilemma.
With the former Southampton boss arguably in need of a miracle at the Glaswegian outfit, the likes of Moore can produce the qualities to save him from being sacked for now.
