Rangers new squad value as Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises keep promise

Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have put their money where their mouth is since taking over at Rangers.

With 13 new signings arriving at the Gers, there has undoubtedly been a sea of change in G51 in recent months.

Youssef Chermiti moved to Ibrox in a deal worth £10million, and it’s the biggest fee the Light Blues have spent on one player in 25 years.

The Glaswegian outfit did bring a significant sum from Hamza Igamane’s sale to LOSC Lille, but the new American owners have certainly kept their promise of investing in the team, spending around £25.71m on new arrivals.

Rangers new squad value now £91.5m as Kevin Thelwell gets to work

With some quality players coming through the door on loan at the Gers, their current squad market value stands at £91.5m, as per Transfermarkt.

Mikey Moore joined the Light Blues on loan from Tottenham, and while he hasn’t hit the ground running at Ibrox, he’s the highest valued player at around £15.6m.

Nicolas Raskin and Nasser Djiga are joint second in terms of their market value at the Light Blues, with the duo worth £8.6m each at Ibrox.

Other notable players are Max Aarons and Oliver Antman, with the defender and forward’s market value determined to be £5.2m.

The Gers fans may be disillusioned by the expected market values, considering Djiga and the Bournemouth loanee haven’t really lived up to the billing so far.

Djeidi Gassama has been brilliant at Ibrox, but his price is set at £1.7m despite arguably being the Glaswegian outfit’s best player this season, scoring four goals in 10 appearances.

Russell Martin expected to bring success to Ibrox

Russell Martin hasn’t had the best of starts at Ibrox, and the Scottish manager is already under pressure, with a lot of fans calling for his dismissal.

Cavenagh and the 49ers will undoubtedly be expecting immediate success at Rangers after their significant investment in the transfer window.

While Igamane and Cyriel Dessers’ sales have left a massive void in the attack, the ex-Saints boss has got Chermiti and Bojan Miovski to fix his goalscoring issues.

The Gers haven’t played like they are worth £91.5m this season, but that may be down to the manager, and the situation in G51 could still further evolve after deadline day.
