Clinton Nsiala transfer from Rangers still on cards ahead of 8 September deadline
Rangers could still see Clinton Nsiala depart despite the transfer window in Scotland closing.
Youssef Chermiti and Derek Cornelius were the deadline-day signings at the Gers before the 11pm Scottish deadline on 1 September.
Dynamo Kyiv looked to get Nsiala from Ibrox, but the deal didn’t go through, and the defender has remained at the Light Blues for now.
While the centre-back’s move to Ukraine has fallen through, he may yet be on his way out before the 8 September deadline elsewhere.

Clinton Nsiala transfer from Rangers to Belgium possible
Nsiala could now be on his way to Belgium after rejecting a move to Kyiv, according to The Scottish Sun.
The news outlet reports on 3 September that the 21-year-old turned down a move to the Ukrainian Premier League from Ibrox on deadline day.
It’s been claimed that the French national could still leave the Gers on loan to the Jupiler Pro League, with the transfer window still open in Belgium.
Nsiala’s situation will be one to keep an eye on as Anderlecht, KV Mechelen and Zulte Waregem have been linked with him recently.

Russell Martin has no-brainer centre-back pairing at Ibrox
Russell Martin is under extreme pressure at Ibrox after a poor start to the season, winning just three of his first 11 games in charge.
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have made a significant investment, with 13 new players coming through the door in G51.
The American owners will undoubtedly want to see results at the Glaswegian outfit, and the Scottish manager will surely be expected to turn the tide after the international break.
- Nsiala moved to Ibrox as a free agent in the summer of 2024 after leaving AC Milan.
- The defender made 13 first-team appearances last season.
- Barry Ferguson didn’t seem to trust the centre-back.
Nasser Djiga has struggled at Rangers in recent matches after a strong start to the campaign, but his lack of experience seems to be showing.
Cornelius has arrived at Ibrox from Olympique Marseille, and the left-footed defender should slot straight into the backline.
John Souttar undoubtedly looks more comfortable as a right-centre-back, and the Scotsman can now be paired with the Canada international and hopefully form a solid partnership.
With Djiga and Emmanuel Fernandez serving as backups, Martin has enough quality in the backline to let Nsiala leave.
